CIRRUS ANNOUNCES PATRICK WADDICK, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS

Duluth, Minn. (9/24/2008)

Cirrus Design Corp., a leading manufacturer of personal aircraft, announced today that it has appointed Patrick Waddick as executive vice president, operations. Waddick served as senior vice president of engineering since 2005.

Cirrus Chairman and CEO Alan Klapmeier said, “Patrick has been instrumental in the design, development and certification of the SR20 and SR22 and on-going innovation and evolution of the SR product line. I am confident that Patrick’s knowledge and experience will greatly contribute to the Company’s continued success”.

As a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison, Waddick holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and has been with Cirrus since 1988. He participated in the VK30 program as Chief Engineer; led the engineering team through the design and construction of the ST50 turboprop aircraft as Engineering Manager and later as Director of Engineering; lead the development and certification of the SR20 and SR22.

Waddick has been an active private pilot since 1988 and holds an instrument rating. In his new role, Waddick will oversee Customer Service, Flight Operations, Manufacturing and Manufacturing Services, Ownership Team, Product Assurance, Supply Chain, Grand Forks Facility, and Sustaining Engineering.
